Church Strengthening/Planting
There are 40,000 Southern Baptist Churches. I believe there should be 140,000 just for starters. Through the work of Grace Gardens Ministries, I strive to set up house churches, intentional communities, and intimate gatherings of Christ Followers.
In the rural South where I live, indeed across the western world, most churches are unhealthy. They are dying and will continue to die because their aging members either refuse, or aren’t equipped, to try culturally relevant ways of reaching their fellow man. They are using a key that no longer fits the locks on the hearts of the people. What once was the front line of the advancing Body of Christ has become the tail end of a retreat into mega-churches and fundamentalism.
This trend must be reversed.
Small towns and neighbourhoods must not become places unreached by the Kingdom of God. Believers must band together in their particular communities to reach out to their fellow man. They must also send missionaries to small towns, inner cities, and suburbia.
I am dedicated to finding a way to strengthen existing churches and plant new ones wherever they are needed.
